Christmas in July--------

Christmas in July is still running crazy in my house! Love making the cards and I love that I can use up scrap ribbon and pieces of paper. Too bad I am just making scraps and not using them up yet! Look at the fun corner brad, I was so pleased when I found that item I love finding the perfect item in my stash.  I am still stuck on the old vintagy feel. Sorry but I just LOVE it, love the colors the look and how it takes more effort to make it look like that. I do have to complain that my inker is out of ink and my paper distresser is not working tops anymore. Anyone have any idea for paper distressing so I do not have to buy a new one?

Justin Fishing Trip--------

Last year my husband went on a fishing trip with a few of guys from work and his father. Justin ended up bringing back 5 or so sides of fish and, well they were fishy tastin! It took us a while to eat them all because at the same time my father who fishes too was also dropping fish onto our laps! Never say no to free meals though!! I used what I seen to be beachy colors and a grid paper that turned out to be a sandish look, or kind of like an old treasure map. I cannot believe how much better this layout looks in person, in a photo I find it boring and ...and..ugly! The colors do not match real life colors and you cannot see the layers or 3-d parts.

Woooo Hoooo! I adore my christmas card, I love MME too! I think I am starting an unhealthy addiction to their 6x6 paper pads.  Can you tell on the inside I accidently cut off the corner of my "Happy holidays" thinking it was the paper for the out side corners.  This card was to be an easel card however I messed up, again, cutting paper and had to improvise. I added the paper tabs at the top which explains why the brads show through on the back. They were "oh shoot" at work!

Had a lot of troubles with this card but all in all I think it came out very well. Used up the odd reddish, brownish and what not cheese cloth I had left over and found this image I colored ages ago. Go figure, I feel it works great with the card colors. I wish I had centered her now that things are all said and done, but oooo well.  Its really hot here so I am heading off to go get some more water and clean my craft space.

Mr and Mrs----------

My husbands and I first anniversary was on the 4th of July and here is a page I put together, late because of so many materials ordered online taking forever. It, none the less is together and thats what matters.  There are so many things I wish I had done. Like double layer the black background and major distress the edges, space the words on the side more evenly and of course just made sure I was 100% happy with things before the nonforgiving glue came out. But really.....3 items on this page took over a month to arrive, I am so peed off that it took these items this long and that I had to set back making this page.   

First, right off the bat I have to say that I scrap lifted this look. Its not my idea to corset a page, though I wish I had thought of it. It is another blogger over at "Oh, Scrapulous!!"  I did not take it 100%, I had to change things to make it my own, but I am paying my dues to that fabby crafter!
